The objectives of the Scandinavian Association of WA are:
- To promote the harmonious interrelationship between Scandinavia and Australia.
- To hold such functions as to maintain the traditions of Scandinavia, including the national days.
- To maintain a premises for the purpose of providing social and cultural activities for it's members.
The Royal Danish Consul, Mr Henning Jacobsen, has advised that the Danish Biometric Passport Mobile Unit will visit WA on 26 and 27 June 2013 to enable Danish citizens in WA to renew their Danish passports in accordance with the new biometric guidelines.
The last few months have simply flown by with Easter now having come and gone and the Association managing to fit in a few very enjoyable social events.
The Association continues to fundraise through its sales of the Non Stick Barbecue liner. This idea is the most economical and cleanest alternative available wherever a non stick cooking surface is required.
The Over 50s Lunch will be held on 3 May at Nordic House at 12 noon.
On 21 April, we hope members will be able to help out with our busy bee at Nordic House (25 Melvin Avenue, Thornlie. We'll be doing some much-needed maintenance and sprucing up the house a little.
