Message from the committee

We were hoping to have had some volunteer nominations for the job of President and Secretary but so far, no one has come forward. They are not really huge jobs, but, if we don’t try to share the work, the Association risks that people tire and pull out completely and the Club will fold!
So please consider giving a little of your spare time. We are pleased though that, with volunteer help, the Christmas Party and Lucia Parade will take place for 2011. We still need more volunteers though to help set up and take down after the Christmas Party. If you can help out, please contact Marianne on 9295 4248.
The Busy Bee, held on 16 October at Nordic House, attracted only 5 helpers. Many thanks to these members who completed work both in the house and garden. It is, as usual, not a big turn-out and a little disappointing that no more came, given the call for more volunteers in the last S c a n p o s t.
We need more people to help out, even if it's only on one of our events.
